We believe affordable dental care should be a right for everyone. We will work with you to make sure you pay as little out-of-pocket as possible for all services. We offer convenient hours at The Dental Office of Moody to ensure that you do not have to miss work or school. It is likely that we will be able to meet this week.
Dental insurance can be confusing, but it can also help patients afford dental care. Patients often get insurance through their employers, who sometimes chip in some of the costs.
In exchange for paying a monthly fee, patients with dental insurance receive free or discounted dental services. Preventive care is usually covered at 100%, including two teeth cleanings and exams. Following that, basic care and major procedures are covered at different percentages, with the patient paying a greater portion.
Getting dental care is essential for your overall health & wellness. Dental insurance can be confusing, & unfortunately, that confusion can keep patients from seeing a dentist. At The Dental Office of Moody, we know getting quality dental care can be challenging. Our goal is to break down those barriers. We accept dental insurance from all major providers, including Delta Dental, Humana & Cigna. Our goal is to make that insurance easy to understand and access. We do our best to maximize your dental insurance plan so you pay as little as possible for your care.
There is often confusion among patients as to whether a dental practice is in-network or out-of-network with their dental insurance provider. The term “out-of-network” suggests that the practice will not accept your insurance, but that is not always the case. It also depends on your specific insurance plan.
An HMO plan only covers dental work performed by dentists who are in-network, and those dentists must refer their patients to specialists. You should look for a dentist who is part of your HMO plan if you have one.
The distinction between in-network and out-of-network is much less restrictive under PPO plans. A dental practice that is in-network with a PPO insurance provider simply means that they have an agreement where they can charge the patient a smaller percentage of the total cost for treatment services. It is important to note, however, that even out-of-network costs are often quite affordable.

In addition to insurance considerations, we encourage you to select your dentist based on other important factors, such as availability in your busy schedule and the ability of the dentist and staff to accommodate your needs.
